Page resizing changes physical dimensions such as A4 or Letter. It is different from compression, which reduces bytes without intentionally changing page geometry.
Pick the destination size first
Use the paper size required by a printer, form portal, binder, or document standard. Fit entire page preserves all source content and can add whitespace. Fill and crop removes overflow at the edges, while stretch can distort text and shapes and should be used only when exact filling matters.
Review rebuilt page features
Resized pages preserve visible source appearance but rebuild each page. Check links, annotations, forms, layers, page rotation, and existing digital signatures because those interactive features are not retained. Use Compress PDF instead when only the file-size limit matters.
