Use page ranges deliberately
Read the page numbers shown by the PDF viewer rather than printed numbers inside the document, because covers and front matter can shift them. Keep related pages together when a table, signature block, or appendix continues across more than one page.
Check the ZIP contents
Open at least the first and final split file, confirm filenames and page counts, and make sure no blank separator or attachment page was omitted. Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked before pages can be copied into new files.
